Short legal reminder

This tool helps format and export contracts quickly but does not replace legal advice. For high-value, complex, or jurisdiction-specific contracts, consult a qualified lawyer.

How to use the Contract Generator — Step-by-Step

1. (Optional) Upload your logo for branding

  • Click Upload Company Logo and choose an image file (PNG/JPG).

  • A small preview appears — this logo will show in the PDF header.

  • Tip: Use a wide logo (not extremely tall); keep file size small (<500 KB) for faster processing.

2. Select a template

  • Use the Contract Template dropdown and pick the type you want (Service, NDA, Freelance, Rental).

  • The template text auto-fills into the Terms & Conditions box, and the tool fills the contract title field automatically.

3. Fill in contract metadata

Complete the top fields:

  • Contract Title (editable)

  • Party 1 Name and Party 2 Name (legal/full names recommended)

  • Effective Date (choose with date picker)

4. Edit the contract text (if needed)

  • Modify the Terms & Conditions area to reflect the exact terms, payment amounts, timelines, jurisdiction, etc.

  • Use plain language for clarity; you can also paste your own clauses.

5. Generate the preview

  • Click Generate Contract.

  • The tool will display a formatted preview below showing the full contract text and where signatures will appear.

6. Draw signatures

  • Scroll to Signatures and draw in the canvases:

    • Desktop: click-and-drag with a mouse.

    • Mobile/tablet: use your finger or stylus.

  • If you make a mistake, press Clear and redraw.

  • Make sure you draw the signature before downloading — the preview captures the canvas image.

7. Review the preview carefully

  • Read the full preview for typos, dates, amounts, and correct party names.

  • Edit fields and click Generate Contract again if corrections are needed.

8. Download the PDF

  • Click Download PDF. The generated PDF will include:

    • Your uploaded logo (if any) in the header

    • Formatted title and contract sections

    • Both drawn signatures are placed in signature boxes

  • The file will be named like ContractTitle.pdf. Save it to your device or cloud storage.

9. Save, share, or print

  • Store the PDF in a secure place (local drive, Google Drive, etc.).

  • Attach the PDF to emails or upload to messaging apps.

  • If your browser prevents automatic downloads (some mobile browsers), use Share → Save to Files or Print → Save as PDF.

Quick Troubleshooting

  • Download does nothing: Ensure you clicked Generate Contract first, and that JavaScript is enabled. Try Chrome/Edge/Firefox if problems persist.

  • Blank signature in PDF: Draw the signature before generating the preview and then download. Re-generate preview after signing.

  • Logo missing or blurry: Upload a higher-resolution image (PNG preferred) but keep size reasonable.

  • Placeholders still visible (e.g. [Party 1]): Fill corresponding fields (Party names, date) and click Generate again.

  • iOS Safari download oddities: Use “Share → Save to Files” or open the PDF in a new tab and use the browser Save/Share menu.
